AFM: Tailchasers Song Headed For Animated Feature
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2011 — AT AFM IN SANTA MONICA, CA — Animetropolis is very happy to announce it has engaged IDA (Worldwide Digital Artists) as production partner and lead animation unit because of its long awaited debut film, the CG-animated feature adaptation of TAILCHASERS SONG, the acclaimed best-selling fantasy novel by author Tad Williams. Captured, IDA grew to become the very first Japanese studio ever nominated for any U.S.VES (Visual Effects Society) Award for animation, recognized within the Outstanding Achievement within an Animated Short category for his or her ground- breaking CAT SHIT ONE*, which stories a powerful hostage save mission by an smart (and adorable) set of bunny rabbit commando. We're thrilled and honored to become joining track of IDA, stated Paul Alvarado-Dykstra, producer and Animetropolis partner. We looked lengthy and difficult to find an ideal animation studio partner with this project, and IDA couldnt be considered a better fit to satisfy our vision of creating a higher-quality, family-friendly, CG-animated independent film as our first project. The standard of CG animal character animation that IDA accomplished in CAT SHIT ONE made our entire industry take serious notice, and shown how ideally suited they're with this project, said Samantha Inoue-Harte, producer and Animetropolis partner. Were very excited to utilize these to bring Tad Williams beloved figures and story to existence around the giant screen. ’We is going to do good to make a great animation through the use of the strategy and creativeness Japanese artists have developed through history from cel animation to CG animation, added Junya Okabe, producer and Leader of IDA. Animetropolis partners Paul Alvarado-Dykstra and Samantha Inoue-Harte are creating with Junya Okabe, Leader of IDA, in colaboration with Fire Duck principals Chris Rydo and Bethany Rhoades, co-authors from the script. Author Tad Williams is creative consultant around the film.
